The agreement, in plain words.

1. What Flummox does

Flummox is a tool for generating images and video. You create a project. Inside it you create assets — characters, props and locations — and lock each one to a reference sheet: a fixed set of canonical views generated from what you uploaded or described. You then write scenes: a prompt that tags those assets, which renders to one video.

Generation happens on third-party model providers, not on our own hardware. Section 6 and the Privacy Policy say what is sent to them.

2. Your account

Signing up creates a personal workspace and grants it a one-off balance of 500 credits. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password and any workspace invitations under control. Tell us if you think someone else has access: support@flummox.ai.

You must be 18 or over to use Flummox. This is not a formality: the product generates likenesses of real people from photographs, and that is not something we are willing to put in the hands of a minor or to process a minor’s data for.

3. Credits

Work that costs money to run — locking an asset, rendering a scene — is paid for in credits, and the cost is shown next to the action before you confirm it. A failed render that produced nothing is not charged; a render you simply do not like is, because it ran.

Credits do not expire, and they are not refundable once bought — they are consumed by work that costs us real money the moment it runs. The exception is already built into the product: a render the provider never completed is refunded to your balance automatically, in credits.

Purchases are processed by Stripe, in US dollars; Flummox never sees or stores your card details. Credits can be bought as one-off packs or through a monthly plan. A plan renews automatically each month at the price shown when you subscribed, grants its credits on each renewal, and can be cancelled any time from Settings — it then runs to the end of the paid period and stops. Prices are shown before you pay. Prices do not include any taxes that may apply to your purchase; where we are required to collect tax we will say so at checkout before you pay. If a purchase completes but the credits do not appear within a few minutes, contact us and we will make it right.

4. What you upload

You keep ownership of what you bring: project briefs, scene text, and the reference images you upload. You give us the permission we need to run the product on that material — storing it, showing it back to you, and sending it to the model providers that do the generation. Nothing more; we do not use your content to train models, and we do not sell it.

By uploading a reference image you confirm that:

• you own it or have permission to use it;
• if it shows a real person, that person has agreed to their likeness being used to generate new images and video of them; and
• it does not contain sexual content involving minors, in any form.

5. What you may not make

No generating a real person’s likeness without their consent, no sexual content involving minors, no material designed to deceive people about a real event or statement, no content that infringes someone else’s rights, and no attempts to work around credit limits, rate limits or another workspace’s data. Accounts doing any of this can be suspended without notice.

6. Generated output

Between you and us, the images and video you generate are yours to use. Two honest limits. First, these models are probabilistic: another user with a similar prompt can get similar output, so we cannot promise your result is unique or that it is protectable. Second, a lock improves consistency — it does not guarantee an identical face, product or room in every render. Check output before you publish it.

Model providers apply their own content rules on top of ours, and a render can fail because of them. When that happens we show you the provider’s reason.

7. Availability

Flummox is early. Features change, render times vary with provider queues, and there is no uptime commitment and no service level agreement. We will not delete your projects to make a change; if something has to be removed, you get notice and a way to export.

8. Ending it

You can stop using Flummox whenever you like. Deleting your account deletes your projects, assets, reference sheets, scenes, uploaded images and generated media. Today deletion is handled by request — support@flummox.ai; a self-serve control in Settings is planned and this section will be updated when it ships. Deleted content may persist for a period in the encrypted backups our database provider takes on its own schedule.

We can close an account that breaks section 5, or that is being used to attack the service. Credits remaining on an account closed for those reasons are forfeited. If we close your account for any other reason — we stop offering the product, say — you get notice, a way to export, and we will make the balance good.

9. Liability and governing law

Flummox is operated by Implicit Marketing, Inc., a California corporation, at 3017 Douglas Blvd #300, Roseville, CA 95661.

The service is provided as it is, and we do not warrant that generated output will be fit for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer you keep the rights your local law gives you regardless of this section.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California.

10. Changes

When these terms change materially we will say so in the product before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will move. Questions about anything here: support@flummox.ai.
